Microneedling is an effective, non-surgical, non-laser treatment that stimulates skin collagen and elastin production revealing fresh new skin. It's a medical grade Collagen Induction Therapy treating scars, fine lines, wrinkles, stretch marks and hyperpigmentation.
Microneedling has traditionally been used as a treatment against scars, in particular. However in recent years, it is becoming highly popular as an anti-aging therapy. With the stimulation of collagen production, the depth of fine lines and wrinkles can be reduced considerably. The treatment is often used for targeting the fine lines and wrinkles around the mouth and the upper lip. It also helps to make the face plumper and this naturally gives the patient a natural youthful look. One of the less common applications of the therapy is for treating stretch marks on various parts of the body from the abdomen and the chest to the legs.
The treatment uses tiny needles from a Microneedling device that creates invisible microscopic wounds or perforations in the epidermis, which is the top layer of the skin, and on the top layer of the dermis (the layer under epidermis) at different depths. It will then send signals to the brain that your body has been injured, triggering the body's natural self repair process. These tiny perforations heal within several hours and prompt new elastin and collagen synthesis to generate healthy new skin. A skin that looks and feels tighter and younger looking without visible lines, scars or pigmentation blemishes.
Benefits of Microneedling are:
-Improved Elasticity and Texture
-Reduced pore size
-Even pigment and tone
-Restored and strengthened structural integrity of your skin
-Improved appearance of stretch marks and scars
-Improved appearance of acne scars
Laser Hair Removal
Hair removal laser uses a low energy laser which passes through the patient's skin, being absorbed by the pigment (melanin) in the hair follicle. Each pulse of the laser targets and inactivates a large number of hair follicles and ultimately the hair bulbs.
During each treatment session, a certain percentage of the hair bulbs are damaged such that hair will not grow from there again. With each treatment, additional hair bulbs are damaged until hair is completely absent in most cases. Results may vary from person to person depending on the colour and thickness of hair stands in the area to be treated. The darker and thicker the hair, the more desirable results would achieve.
IPL & BBL Photo Rejuvenation/
The BBL or Broad Band Light and IPL (Intense Pulsed Light) therapy Photo Facials are revolutionary methods of photo rejuvenation that work on the basis of light application. They improve the skin texture, tone & appearance resulting in a tighter and younger looking skin. This modality treats everything from age spots, sun spots, melasma, rosacea, broken capillaries (tiny blood vessels) and redness to permanent wrinkles. The brown spots (frackles) and melasma (brown patches) are produced by a number of different factors such as prolonged sun exposure, hormonal imbalances and genetics.
Immediately following your photo facial treatment, brown spots will start to darken and your skin may appear slightly pink. This typically lasts few hours to a few days. During a time span of one to two weeks post Photo Facial treatment, the darkened spots will flake off and/or fade leaving you with a smoother and even looking skin. Rosacea or reddish appearance of the skin mainly is due to broken capillaries of the face but it could also result from flushing of the skin due to stress and anxiety, sunlight, temperature extremes, spicy foods, alcohol and strenuous exercise.
Photo Facial's role in rejuvenation is the result of collagen and elastin stimulation that occurs just after a few treatments at 4-5 week intervals which will help you restore a more youthful appearance, leaving skin clear and healthy looking. Here again, results may vary from person to person depending on severity of blemish, age, environmental factors and hormonal
Spider veins treatment
The BBL ( broad band light therapy) treats
surface "spider" like capillaries, which are small purple or reddish veins that stretch like a web near the surface of the skin and or typically discoloured clusters. The capillaries get their colour due to an existence of clotted red blood cells. The way light pulsed laser or BBL works is to break down the layer of clotted blood, resulting in free blood flow through the capillary and disappearance of the purple colour and the spider veins. Typically 3-4 treatments are required to achieve optimal results.
Acne is simply an inflammation of the skin primarily affecting the sebaceous glands. People with acne basically have skin that is out of balance. The sebaceous glands become overactive due to various internal factors such as genetic, stress, and hormonal imbalances. Also external factors such as pollutants, and sun exposure. when this takes place, the sebaceous glands overproduce oil which in turn produce shiny skin which attracts dirt and provides an ideal environment for the development of bacteria. The outcome is acne breakouts and the development of pimples and/or blackhead. In the treatment of acne, we use BBL machine to either destroy the acne bacteria that cause acne or damage the oil-producing sebaceous glands. Usually 3-4 treatments are required to achieve optimal results.
Radio Frequency (RF) & Ultrasound Skin Tightening
Radio-Frequency and Ultrasound are two of the most advanced and recent aesthetic techniques used in the treatment of lax skin which utilize radio frequency energy or electromagnetic waves and low frequency ultrasound waves respectively to heat lower layers of skin to stimulate sub-dermal collagen and elastin production in order to reduce the appearance of fine lines and loose skin.
